Shin Jinseo stops Park Yeonghun’s winning streak

As (probably) the only national tournament Shin Jinseo didn’t win last year, he has set his sights on winning this years Maxim (Coffee) Cup (23rd edition).

In this tournament 32 seeded players (all 9p) play a knockout style tournament, where the winner stands to gain 20 million won (roughly 37.000 euro) and the runner up takes home 20 million won (about 14.700 euro). With a relative fast time setting of 10m +5x40s byo-yomi. 

Shin Jinseo won this title before, most notably when he first competed in 2019, where he was the youngest winner ever, with 19 years, 1 month and 11 days. His opponent Park Yeonghun has won this title twice (the 9th and 12th edition, 2008 and 2011 respectively)

Sin Jinseo won the game in 1h 8m, which halted Park Yeonghun’s winning streak with an impressive 10 consecutive victories.
